Night Etchings
2020-21, A collection of 4 etchings
A Study of Obscurity.
A Fear of not knowing, of being in the dark literally and mentally explored through four etchings of figures- present but yet almost fading away into oblivion.
Discarded Figures
21.0 x 29.7 cm
A figure lies unnoticed and bewilderingly in the middle of a road to nowhere- lit ever so slightly by dim moonlight and fading streetlamps.
When the bus stops running
2021, 29.7 x 42.0 cm
Longing for nothingness, figures are lit up in the midst of night on the edge of the street. A bus stop when the bus stops running at night equates to as much being a casted shadow of infrastructure from a time of day- a remnant of life and vivacious happenings.
Nosedive
2020, 21.0 x 29.7 cm
Lit by moonlight, a figure lies in a nosedive upon a desk beside a table. In anonymity and undefined physical presence, the composition melts away into pitch darkness in sections of shadows.
On the walk back home
2021, 29.7 x 42.0 cm
Strides of defined pitch black shadows amidst a dark night scene beside the roads once buzzing with life. A scene dimly lit up by a lone street lamp alongside two figures almost fading away into the darkness.
