Amplitude
2015-18, A collection of 5 photographs
A Study of Missing Sound.
Views of landscapes and architecture merged with an intense study of color and contrast, ‘Amplitude’ presents static sceneries in relation to a moving and ticking medium, sound.
This project is an experimental series of photographs collected over years of exploration, trial and error as well as individual studies.
Muted
Queenstown, New Zealand
“Taken from the window of a helicopter flying over mountains and untouched terrain, this shot implicates an uneasy sense of serenity and is at first viewing, almost silent.”
Liability
Tokyo, Japan
“Taken on a longwinded walk at dawn, are the stairs of a building illuminated with warm overhead lights amongst dark, almost menacing, blue skies.”
Shrouded Notions
Queenstown, New Zealand
“On a deep dive through my photo archive months later after my trip to New Zealand, I found this photo in my raw photos folder underexposed and poorly composed. I took a few weeks to work on this image after that and resulted with a high contrast, mystical and shrowded image.”
Elevation
Queenstown, New Zealand
“With bright blue skies and high rise mountains, elevation consists of a bold composition and almost monotone illustration.”
Midnight Vermillion
Queensland, Australia
“Taken on a taxi on my way back to my hotel, Midnight Vermillion sprouted from my exuding interest of architecture lighting in the city with bold scenes filled with contrast.”
